The opening reception will be held on Friday, August 28th, from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Awards will be announced at 7:30 PM). The exhibition will be up until September 26th. I hope to see you there!

Reveries of Michigan is an exhibition of 25 of my latest paintings, drawn from a decade of exploring and painting the landscapes of West Michigan. Over the years, this region has become a primary source of inspiration for my work. Through the consistent practice of plein air painting, backpacking, and camping along the shores of Lake Michigan, I have developed a deep connection to the landscape. I’m excited to exhibit these works at the Holland Area Arts Council!

Numinous Light - A Solo Exhibition of Paintings by Anthony M. Cairo

Reception Date: January 18th 2026 from 11:30am - 1:00pm

Numinous Light is an exhibition of 29 of my latest paintings. These paintings are a personal reflection of the complex and endless beauty of the natural world. Fleeting light produces momentary experiences, but for many of us it can form unforgettable memories. These memories envelope our senses, connecting our minds to something true and universal. I still find magic in these natural spaces, and they have become my greatest teacher. My deep love and connection to the landscape came from the consistent practice of plein air painting, backpacking, and camping. Observing and studying directly in the field is an important part of my process.

The reception will be held on January 18th from 11:30 am - 1:00pm after Sunday service. All are welcome! Come enjoy the exhibition and refreshments with this wonderful community. I’m grateful for this opportunity and appreciate your support!
